Do you know what a Tea Towel is? It is also known as a dish towel and according to Wikipedia, it is a cloth which is used to dry dishes after they have been washed. In 18th century England, a tea towel was a special linen drying cloth used by the mistress of the house to dry her precious and expensive china tea things. Servants were not trusted with such a delicate job due to they were considered to be clumsy or maybe even possibilities of pocketing the merchandise for themselves!
I love printed dish clothes whether they are old or new. My problem is making sure my husband does not use them to wipe the grill off or clean the kitchen floor after spilling something like tomato sauce! I am sure I am not the only one out there that has a husband who does this. I try and keep the nice Tea Towels away from my husband, a separate drawer. I found an Etsy Shop called artgoodies that makes very cute block print tea towels, ones to keep away from my husband and tomato sauce! Lisa works from two things I love which are nature and vintage items. Many of her block print patterns are birds, animals and an occasional unique item such as the ring towel. I had to show this one since my new sister-in-law just got married a couple of weeks ago. This would be a great gift for a bridal shower, housewarming or even someone who loves towels, such as myself! Lisa also makes block print stuffies, aprons and wall hangings, a little something for everyone to enjoy.

My husband has done the same exact thing to almost all of mine :( even my hand embroidered ones! I would love to win the nest towel.
