Tackle It Tuesday

We have been living at our house for about 8 years now. You think you know what you have, but you may be surprised at what you did not realize you have! My husband and I had some time to kill while Bugaboo Girl was napping so we took on the dreaded garage.

I pushed the envelope a little by trying to de-clutter the side that there was no car in. Let's just say we need a barn, desperately! Anyone for a barn raising party, like Seven Brides For Seven Brothers? I love that movie.....anyway, we uncovered at least 40-50 garden baskets, as seen in the picture. We have acquired them from both my grandparents, the current house we are in and evidently my husbands parents! So I kept about 10 and hauled the rest to the front of my yard. Oh, I forgot to mention the fact there were also about 50+ small quart berry baskets. If I was crafty, I would use them but I do not consider myself that crafty. So out they went! If it's free, people take them with out any questions. The large baskets are about half gone and someone took all of the quart size baskets. I bet that person is crafty!

And while we are on the subject of things you do not realize you have, check out these! We had no idea why we had bread racks until we asked my in-laws. Evidently they were used to carry seedlings and also dry onions, who knew!

Drat! Connecticut lol. I would have snagged all that stuff. And we'd love to do a barn raising. It's all about helping people out isn't it?
Good job!
Blessings,
Kim

Great tackle! We won't talk about MY garage. :) I'm de-cluttering my store & blog. Pop over for a look.

Too bad you live too far away for me to grab those things. I think I could use them in my sewing room.. Oh well. Nice tackle! :)

Ah! I can't believe you just put them in your front yard. Those baskets are so hard to find in my area. I would have taken them all. :-( Blessings to you.

It is so amazing what you find when you start cleaning. I'm amazed at the amount of stuff I find every time I clean, if its something that is still in working condition I toss it in a plastic tote labeled yard sale.

I enjoyed reading your blog today.

I consider myself crafty and I don't even know what to do with berry baskets. How is that garage looking? We're getting ready to move into another house and I don't even want to begin to know what we have hidden around here.
